House roules

To make sure that you have a pleasant stay and to prevent any misunderstanding, please read the house rules. When you confirm a reservation, it is implied that you are familiar with the house rules and agree with them, and that you will fully adhere to them. Violation of the house rules can result in cancellation of the reservation and charging the full amount of the accommodation price regardless of the shorter stay.

1. GUEST REGISTRATION

On the day of arrival, the guests have to give their identification documents (passport or ID) for the purpose of registration at the Tourist Board. This data will not be used for other purposes. Guests who do not provide any type of special document for a legally binding tourist registration may be denied access to the Villa, without the possibility of a refund of rent paid for the stay.

2. NUMBER OF GUESTS

At any time, the number of guests on the property cannot exceed the one stated in the confirmation. The number of guests can be increased up to the maximum capacity stated on the Villa's website. The bedrooms can accommodate up to 8 people, with 2 extra beds available (sofa beds). The requested change in the number of guests must be submitted by e-mail. The total number of guests includes children. Children under the age of one are not included in this number. If unregistered guests are on the property, the guests are obliged to leave the Villa permanently, within 2 (two) hours. A refund for the unused part of the rental period will not be possible.

3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

On the day of departure, the guests have to leave the accommodation (check-out) no later than 10:00, in order for the owner to have time to prepare the Villa for the next guests arriving at 15:00 (check-in). If the guests intend to arrive after 20:00 on the first day they have to inform Villa Giove about it.

Early check-in and later check-out up to 3 hours before/later then the official are free of charge. For check-in that is earlier and check-out that is later then 3 to 10 hours then the official, the supplement is 50% of the price per night. For check-in that is earlier and check-out that is later then 10 hours then the official, a full price per night will be charged. Early check-ins and later check-outs are only possible on days when there are no departures / arrivals of other guests and are arranged individually with the host.

4. HOUSE RULES

4.1. Our staff is available to the guests during their stay for any information and assistance they may need.

4.2. Bed linen is changed once per week. Towels (3 pcs per person for week), kitchen cloths, Finnish sauna, salte swiming pool, deck chairs, parasols, private parking are at the guest’s disposal.

4.3. Villa Giove is neither obliged nor responsible for organizing guests’ free time or entertaining them.

4.4. The guests are obliged to take care of their personal belongings and valuables left in the accommodation. The owners will not be responsible in case of their disappearance. We advise guests to always close the doors and windows when they go out.

4.5. The owners do not have the right to enter the rented accommodation during the absence of the guests unless otherwise agreed upon, except to stop damages or danger occurring in the accommodation. In this case they have to inform the guests about it as soon as they come back to the accommodation. If the owners have any reason to believe the house rules are violated, the guests have to let them enter the accommodation in order to check the situation.

4.6. Pets are allowed on upon prior request. Pets are not allowed to use house furniture and a swimming pool. Pet stay is charged 50 € per week.

4.7. It is not allowed to bring weapons, flammable or explosive substances and products with a strong or unpleasant smell into the Villa. Guests are not allowed to bring cooking or electrical appliances to the Villa without prior agreement with the owner.

4.8. The guests are kindly asked to take care of the accommodation and its furniture situated inside and outside of it. The guests are not allowed to move the furniture or to transport outside or to the pool (the kitchen chairs to the terrace, cutlery, blankets to the pool). It is strictly prohibited to use indoor furniture (sofas, chairs, beds…) while wet or wearing wet bathing suits.The guest is obliged to take care of the furniture in the interior (sofa, chairs, beds ...) if he uses various oils or sunscreens beacuse of possible permanent damage to the furniture. When applying oil or sunscreen, take care of the interior furniture due to grease.

4.9. Using the swiming pool is at you own responsibility. We recommend you to use the pool reasonably and without extreme exhibitions. A sign on the basic regulations on the use of the pool are inscribed in a visible place in close proximity to the pool. The pool can only be used by swimmers at their own risk. Parents or guardians are responsible for the children.

4.10. Smoking in the Villa is not allowed. Please enjoy your cigarette outside the Villa. Please don´t throw cigarette butts at Villa courtyard.

4.11. All the electrical devices in the house should be used with the reasonable caution and in the accordance with the provided manual instructions. When guests go out of the Villa they have to switch off the lights and electrical appliances and turn off water. Also, guests are asked not to leave the air-conditioning on if it is not necessarywhile they are outside, in order not to waste the electrical energy and to close the doors and windows while the air-conditioning is in use. It is forbidden to throw waste (sanitary napkins, baby diapers, wet wipes, cotton swabs, etc.) in the toilets or in any other place not intended for this purpose, like outside the house or in its vicinity. During your stay in the villa, please keep it clean and tidy in accordance with acknowledged sanitation guidelines. Please dispose of household waste, daily, using the proper means and locations, as established by local rules and regulations.

4.12. In the case of a bad weather or a storm, all the parasols, windows, doors and shutters have to be closed and secured.

4.13. To ensure a pleasant and comfortable sojourn for the successive quests we ask you please to leave the house in the state like it was when you came.

5. DAMAGES DEPOSIT

The guest is obliged to leave a cash deposit on arrival to the Villa host in the amount of 600,00 Euro. The deposit sum shall be stated in the written confirmation. The deposit serves as a security to the owner for the damages caused in and outside the Villa. If the cost of the damage caused is higher than the deposited sum, the guest is obligedto pay the total damage amount to the owner. If no damage is caused in or outside the Villa, the Villa host is obligedto return the deposited sum to the guest at the guest's departure. Guests who intentionally or accidentally damage the property will have to reimburse Villa Giove the full amount of the occurred damage.

6. PRICES AND PAYMENT

6.1. Unless otherwise mentioned, all the prices are stated in Euro.

a) The advance payment of 30% of the total agreed price of accommodation is paid by the guest to the owner of the Villa via bank transfer or PayPal.

b) The remaining 70% of the total contracted price of accommodation must be paid by the guest no later than 30 (thirty) days before the beginning of the rental period if payment is made by bank transfer or PayPal, or in cash on the day of arrival.

6.2. If the reservation is made less than 30 days from the beginning of the rental period, the guest of the villa pays to the account of the owner of the Villa the full amount of accommodation.

6.3. For cancellations up to 60 days before the planned arrival date, the advance payment will be refunded in full. In case of cancellation in the period from 15 to 59 days before the planned arrival date, the advance payment will be refunded in 50% of the amount. For all other cancellations and no-shows the advance payment will not be refunded.

6.4. The costs of water, electric power and the Internet, as well as bedlinen, towels, the final cleaning of the interior, saunas, swimming pool and exterior maintenance, registration of stay, sojorun tax are included in the accommodation price.

7. YOUTH GROUPS

In case the guests are a group of 25-year-olds or younger, they are considered a youth group. Specialconditions for damages deposit is applied to youth groups. Youth groups areobliged to inform the owner of the villa prior to or immediately after the booking about their youth group status. Non-compliance with this article may result in an immediate non-refundable booking cancelation.

8. NOISE

If guests disturb the public peace and quiet and do not calm down after a warning, that can beconsidered a severe breach of the rental contract provisions, in which case the guestsareobliged to leave the Villa permanently together with all the persons staying there within 2 (two) hours,and they are not entitled to a reimbursement by the owner. Please refrain from loud behaviors inside and around the property (balconies, courtyard ecc.) between 24:00 and 7:00.

9. FINAL PROVISIONS AND JURISDICTION

Villa Giove may shorten the stay of the guests who do not respect house rules. In this case the guests will be charged for the entire amount of the reservation, regardless of the shorter stay. Upon arrival it is assumed that the guests are familiar with the house rules and that they agree with their conditions and obligations. Any problem that cannot be solved directly with the owners will involve the intervention of the police or of the tribunal of Split. Complaints will be considered only if reported during the stay. Subsequent complaints will not be considered.Your comments and suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.
