Krka waterfalls

Experience the unforgettable visit to the Krka waterfalls, a beautiful national park that offers boat rides on the river, swimming, walking, and enjoying nature. With its seven waterfalls, Krka is a natural phenomenon. This national park covers the most beautiful part of the river Krka and the lower river Čikola, and it abounds in both natural and historical monuments.

Among them is the Franciscan monastery on the island Visovac which lies on stic part of the river. In the old mills renovated into small ethnographic museums one can learn the traditional way of grinding grain.

The main attraction of the Krka National Park are its seven waterfalls, Roški slap being the most spacious, although Skradinski buk is the biggest and the most famous. Below the Skradinski Buk there is situated hydropower Jaruga, the second oldest hydropower plant in the world and the first one in Europe.
